Water is lyfe.

People always ask me what keeps me energized. One of my easiest and fastest suggestions is by drinking water! I always feel so refreshed and amazing. Anytime I feel unwell I always turn to water before any type of medication! I usually drink 2 liters of water per day and 3-4 if I’m doing a hot yoga class. On top of that, I also drink a variety of teas throughout my day.

Water is one of the most important things on planet earth. It is estimated that 71% of the earths surface is covered with water. It helps regulate the earths ecosystems, as well as its inhabitants.

Humans especially need water to survive. Although we don’t have to live in water, like some of earths creatures- We do have to consume quite a lot to keep healthy and energized.

Water accounts for 2/3’s of the human bodies weight, and while the blood is 82%.

The recommended daily consumption amount varies for each health authorities. But it is advised that we received at least 8 glasses of fluid minimum. If your doing any kind of physical activity or spending a lot of time in the sun it’s recommended that you get extra fluids depending on what you’re doing. I personally recommend water because of how healthy and beneficial it is. I also suggest drinking extra fluids when traveling, even if it’s a relaxing trip!

The human body depends on water for everything. It helps us keep hydrated, digest food, skin clear, mind energized, lubricates our joints, regulates our bodies temperatures and removes toxins from them.

I know a lot of people who “hate the taste of water” and “think it’s boring.” I agree that sometimes it is boring and tasteless! But I don’t agree that we should stop drinking water because of those reasons. There are many fun and tasty ways to add flavor to your water. Through fresh produce, vegan electrolytes that are flavored and even tea.

If we don’t stay hydrated with water, or any fluids in general, it can result in dehydration. (and loss of fun obviously) Some signs of dehydration are dizziness, headaches, weakness and dry mouth.

Most of us are extremely thankful to live in areas with access to clean water. Unfortunately most of us do not recognize this unlimited and easy access to clean water, and we take it for granted every day. We must take time out of our days to appreciate this amazing privilege, by drinking a few glasses to keep our bodies healthy and happy.

“Drinking water is like washing out your insides. The water will cleanse the system, fill you up, decrease your caloric load and improve the function of all your tissues.”
